Ideas for food-related lessons during the fortnight can be found in a free pack, Putting the 'Ooo' Back into Food. The aim is to teach children about the diverse foods available in Britain and the benefits of eating fresh and seasonal produce. Details of retailers, chefs and staff willing to visit schools are included. British Food Fortnight is supported by the DfES's Growing Schools programme.
