Canny Reid? You gotta Kerr

25th April 2003 at 01:00
REID KERR, Paisley's foremost college of further education (there is only one, now that Paisley poly is a uni), has launched an attractive media campaign, designed to infect Renfrewshire's finest denizens with the lifelong learning bug - Seeking A Renfrewshire Student or Sars, we might call it.

"The right courses! Right now!" advert is alluringly illustrated with Day-Glo graphics and a smiling female teenager in fashionably purple figure-hugging attire.

The slogan makes a change, reports our correspondent , from the more traditional catchphrase attributed to the local population: "Canny Reid.

Don't Kerr."
