An pound;800,000 sports facility named after Beatles legend Ringo Starr has officially opened at the drummer's old school in Liverpool. The grounds include an AstroTurf football pitch, tennis, netball and basketball courts and a changing pavilion. John Charnock, head teacher at Shorefields, said Ringo was hoping to visit in the near future.
