Peter Peacock, Deputy Children and Education Minister, has announced a pound;50,000 innovation fund linked to the National Grid for Learning. Small-scale local learning projects serving schools, colleges and communities will be ligible for grants ranging from pound;1,000 to pound;5,000. Meanwhile education Internet service provider DIALnet has won the contract to connect North Lanarkshire secondary schools to the grid and set up a local intranet.
