Catholic education director to oversee denominational education;Catholic heads' conference

A director of Catholic education is to be created to oversee denominational education. "This appointment is a signal of the bishops' determination to promote, defend and improve our schools and teacher training facilities and open up new opportunities in religious education for all our people, even those for whom exams and tests are a distant and grim memory," Cardinal Winning said.
