Chemistry updated

21st May 2004 at 01:00
A new website dedicated to chemistry went live last week. The SCOTS website - Scottish Chemistry Online Teaching Service - contains information and teaching resources for chemistry covering all age groups from five years to Advanced Higher.

It's all part of an initiative called Development for Updating School Chemistry (DUSC), which aims to boost the number of pupils taking chemistry to Higher level and encourage students leaving school to study chemistry further.

The website, sponsored by BP, contains descriptions about courses, online worksheets, chemistry-related news and a teachers' forum.
