Children in care, by the book

ChildLine welcomes Peter McParlin's perceptive article about the problems of children in the care of local authorities (TES, August 25).

However, may I correct one point. ChildLine's publication, Time to Listen, which Peter McParlin quotes, is not an article but a full-length paperback book, based on calls made by 676 children to ChildLine's special line for children in care over a six-month period, plus face-to-face interviews with another 63 children. It looks in depth at the problems encountered by these young people.
