Children in care, by the book

8th September 1995 at 01:00
ChildLine welcomes Peter McParlin's perceptive article about the problems of children in the care of local authorities (TES, August 25).

However, may I correct one point. ChildLine's publication, Time to Listen, which Peter McParlin quotes, is not an article but a full-length paperback book, based on calls made by 676 children to ChildLine's special line for children in care over a six-month period, plus face-to-face interviews with another 63 children. It looks in depth at the problems encountered by these young people.

Copies are available from Time to Listen, ChildLine, Freepost 1111, London N1 0BR at Pounds 5.50 including postage and packing.
