Class-of-his-own boy

10th May 1996 at 01:00
The parents of 12-year-old Graham Crumb, excluded from school after allegedly hitting a teacher, are considering seeking a High Court order to get him back into class.

An independent panel ruled that he should be allowed to return to lessons at Hebburn Comprehensive in South Tyneside after the incident last July, but teachers refused to co-operate and the head drew up a timetable to teach Graham alone. His parents then withdrew the boy, demanding that he be taught with his former classmates.
