Clinton - THAT dress

24th November 2006 at 00:00
Anne Clinton, Glasgow's legendary primary adviser, famous among heidies for coming to work in a different outfit every day, sporting full and immaculate make-up and perfectly set hair, and even more famous for winning damages from the Sun for not having an affair with Father Noel Barry, bowed out in style at her retirement do the other week.

For the fashion queen turned up in a red dress with plunging back, red gloves the length of both arms and with what has been variously described by those who attended as a matching turban or creation on her head.

In an age when many a head wears jeans to school, Clinton, herself a former head, was certainly one of the last of the old school - after a fashion, that is.
