Clydebank awards

13th December 1996 at 00:00
A last-minute deal, sanctioned by the Scottish Office, has allowed Clydebank College to give bursaries to 104 students after it ran out of funds. The college is Pounds 1 million in debt but has agreed to waive fees for the students.

The Scottish Office is to speed up European Social Fund payments to the college, although no new money is available.
