(Photograph) - Coming home: children in a United Nations refugee camp for Afghans returning from Iran in the western Afghan town of Herat this week. Millions fled after the 1979 Soviet invasion but some are coming bck to their war-ravaged country, despite the repressive Taliban regime. The UN High Commissioner for Refugees met Taliban leaders this week to press for a complete end to conflict so that more can return.
