The Christopher Tower Poetry Competition organised by Christ Church, Oxford University, invites students aged 16-18 to submit poems on the theme of "The Passport" by February 28. First prize is pound;1,500 with pound;750 and pound;500 going to the second and third prizewinners. Students'

schools and colleges also receive cash prizes. The entries will be judged by poets Lavinia Greenlaw, Anthony Thwaite and Peter McDonald. Last year's winning poems can be found at www.towerpoetry.org.uk Tel: Dr Peter McDonald, 01865 286591.
