Comic Relief and BBC1's Live and Kicking programme are inviting young people in three age groups - 11 and under, 12-15, and 16-17 - to make a short video on a Comic Relief theme by April 1.

Waterstone's bookstores are fund-raising for Shelter Week by inviting children aged four-to-14 to submit an illustrated poem describing "What home means to you" by March 23. Judges include children's writers and illustrators Brian Patten, Ian Beck, Colin McNaughton and Colin Hawkins. No entry fee but a Pounds 1 donation per entry is suggested.
