The DfES has organised roadshows on "ICT in schools: embedding ICT @ secondary" in partnership with subject associations, the Key Stage 3 National Strategy and Becta. Each event will focus on a subject and give an overview of the packs: ICT Across the Curriculum (ICTAC), and Embedding ICT @ Secondary. Venues: Leeds, October 18 (PE); Nottingham, October 20 (modern foreign languages); Sheffield, November 2 (history), November 3 (RE); Bristol, November 4 (science); Manchester, November 17 (English), November 18 (art and design); Birmingham, November 23 (maths); Royal Geographical Society, London, November 24 (geography); Northampton, November 30 (design and technology); Newcastle, December 1 (citizenship).

The Strategic Leadership of ICT programme (SLICT) for headteachers aims to support learning in schools and enhance leadership skills. The DfES substantially subsidises the pound;1,250 fee for state school heads.

Courses will be held in several locations across England this term.
