Constructing a career

Last week's UK construction drive, run by the sector's skills body, saw more than 100 industry "ambassadors" touring Scottish schools to encourage pupils to consider such a career. In Scotland, 6,310 recruits from joiners to surveyors are needed every year, which is reflected in FE where interest has grown by 63 per cent since 1998.
