The costs of a reward system

8th March 1996 at 00:00
Training: Typically, an authority or an individual school will buy a morning's "taster" course, run by Dudley staff. This will provide an overview of the scheme, a look at some of the tasks and core skills and an explanation of the credit system: price Pounds 135 approximately.

Task banks: Schools can forego the training and simply buy the task banks. Each set comes with a photocopiable handbook. Although the scheme is more than just a set of materials, some schools may feel that they can fit the tasks into their existing behaviour and curriculum policies without moving into the full system of credits and certification.

The task bank for key stage 1, containing a selection of nine tasks, costs Pounds 30

Key stage 2, 16 tasks, Pounds 50

Key stage 3, 15 tasks, Pounds 50

Additional handbooks Pounds 12.

Stationery: Certificates cost Pounds 1 each, badges Pounds 1 for 10, folders Pounds 1 each. An information pack costs Pounds 3.99. A full price list is available from the Charter Team, Saltwells EDC, Bowling Green Road, Netherton, Dudley DY2 9LY, tel: 01384 634155
