Costs mar science training plan

New, multi-million pound centres to provide continuing professional development for science teachers will provide little money for supply cover or transport costs. Consortiums bidding to run the national and regional centres think the pound;51 million budget is not enough to cover such costs, giving rise to fears that schools in challenging circumstances will not be able to take part.
