Cough up to hear Millionaire cheat speak

TECWEN Whittock, the college lecturer who gained notoriety for his role in the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? cheating scam, is offering his services as an after-dinner speaker.

The former head of business studies at Pontypridd college, south Wales, is advertising his services on a website. Mr Whittock became the talk of the nation when he was caught helping Major Charles Ingram cheat his way to the pound;1 million prize on the ITV show by coughing to indicate the correct answers.

He was found guilty at Southwark Crown Court and given a 12-month suspended prison sentence and a pound;10,000 fine.

The new website - - which features a photograph of Mr Whittock smiling, is entitled "The Official Website of 'The Cougher'".

The website's home page says: "Tecwen is open to all offers of work and is currently writing a book about his experiences." It features "humorous quotes" about the case, including two from game-show host Chris Tarrant. It adds: "Tecwen is available for any occasions which require a speaker in the UK or abroad."

As the marketing section of the site points out: "Tecwen Whittock is a unique name and is instantly associated with coughing."
