Course for carers

The Open University has published a course, Learning Disability: Working as Equal People, which may be followed by people with learning disabilities, staff and carers. It comprises a study pack and an assessment pack. Users can build up a coursework portfolio to earn credit through the Open College Network or towards a vocational qualification. The course is the result of a partnership between the OU, Mencap and self-advocacy group People First and costs Pounds 86 (Pounds 20 to those on benefit).
