APRIL 21 TEACHING AND PLAYING STRING INSTRUMENTS Lectures, seminars and demonstrations for string players and teachers at Winchester College Music School. The course will be given by Simon Fischer, soloist and teacher, and Paul Robertson, leader of the Medici String Quartet and visiting lecturer in music and psychiatry, Kingston University. APRIL 26 ATTENTION DEFICITHYPERACTIVITY DISORDER (ADHD) Training day organised by International Psychology Services for teachers, psychologists and health professionals at Willis Hall, Bristol University. Speaker: Jenny Lyon, chartered educational psychologist. Fee: Pounds 85 plus VAT (includes training pack). It will be repeated on May 22 and July 10 at Charing Cross Medical School, London; June 20 at St John's College, York; and in the summer and autumn in Southampton, GlasgowEdinburgh, Nottingham, Birmingham, BelfastDublin. MAY 17 WILLIAM MORRIS Introductory course in the Victoria and Albert Museum's seminar room for teachers of all levels and specialisms wishing to bring groups to the exhibition being held at the V and A, London SW7, May 9-September 1. Fee: Pounds 55 (includes visit to exhibition).A free evening event for educators on May 13 will include a chance to view the exhibition and a talk by Linda Parry, curator of the exhibition. JULY 4 MOVING ART: INSET DAY British Film Institute Education and the Arts Council of Great Britain have organised this course for key stage 3 art and media studies teachers at the National Film Theatre, South Bank, London SE1, for a fee of Pounds 23.50.
