Crazy for you

Here's an American trend you really don't want to spread to the UK. One of the most popular Stateside internet sites at the moment is ratemyteacherscom, which aims to expose the passionless impostors who only call themselves teachers, It has already racked up more than two million ratings on nearly 500,000 teachers.

The site seems to have a foolhardy disregard for libel laws and is prepared to name and shame those teachers who geta bad rating. This comment from a disgruntled pupil about an unloved teacher is typical: I would muth rather take a needle and poke myself a thousand times in the eye than look at her even once. Outh.
