'Danke' to German exchange

26th January 2001 at 00:00
YOU reported on the exchange scheme between Stockport and Heilbronn (TES, January 12) I would like to relate a success story of one Stockport pupil.

My son, John, paid his first visit to Heilbronn 13 years ago. On returning he announced that he would like to live in ermany.

Now he lives with his Austrian wife and daughter (bilingual, of course) and works as purchasing manager for Siemens in Munich.

So it's not all one-sided. Congratulations, Stockport!
