Space Day

6 May

Traditionally the first Friday in May, Space Day is a chance to dress as an astronaut or make a time capsule for future generations. These resources provide ideas for science lessons and organising a themed day around space, with games, puzzles, and posters.

Walk to School Week

16-20 May

Get pupils and their parents moving in Walk to School Week. There are lesson ideas and resources, such as a Green Cross Code quiz so pupils can learn about walking to school safely, as well as charts to enable them to record the number of steps they have taken or the length of their journey.

Tafkam has shared material for primary and secondary lessons, as well as whole-school activities, for several years. His "50 ideas for meeting your new class" resource has been viewed almost 60,000 times - perfect for the first day of term. His resources have accumulated 664,806 views in total.
