Six dedicated Welsh-language learning centres for adults are to be set up across Wales at an expected cost of pound;3.7 million. Elwa, the post-16 funding agency, is to develop the centres in the premises of organisations already delivering Welsh-language teaching. The agency is also working on standards and qualifications for language tutors, and with exams board WJEC on course books.
