In at the deep end

9th November 2012 at 00:00

My dear small child, I do hope the letter I sent you recently about learning to swim didn't scare you too much with its talk of throwing you in at the deep end. Please don't worry. If you do really struggle, there is a rescue package that I think I'm still allowed to use. This tried-and-tested approach is called Swimming Recovery and lets me teach all you all the other things you need to be a good swimmer.
