Degrees in two years

British university students will soon be able to complete an honours degree in just two years.The Government is looking at introducing an American-style system of degree credits to allow undergraduates more flexibility in completing their studies. The more intensive, shorter degree courses proposed would allow students to graduate with less debt. Pilot schemes to provide shorter degree programmes in a range of subjects will be launched at five universities in September, The Times reported this week.
