Reading College has officially been resurrected after the demerger with Thames Valley University was confirmed on Monday. Based on the university's former Reading campus, the new college will be the first to be managed by an external body, the Learning and Skills Network, with the help of Oxford and Cherwell Valley College. John Stone, LSN's chief executive, said: "Alternative models for FE governance have been under discussion ever since the previous administration raised concerns over traditional mergers."
