One year after John Patten's book, Things to Come: The Tories in the 21st century, was first spotted in remainder form, we are pleased to report that some things stay reassuringly the same.

Visitors to the regular warehouse sales held by Galloway and Porter in Cambridge will be delighted to see that the failed Education Secretary's outpourings are still available - a snip at Pounds 1, down from an original, and wholly puzzling, Pounds 17.99.
