Diary - Coitus interruptus

2nd October 2009 at 01:00

Retired teacher Deborah Parish is so passionate about sex education that she was prepared to make a revealing confession about her own sex life in public - only to find out she was in the wrong meeting.

Ms Parish went before the Texas Board of Education to argue in favour of encouraging young people to wait until leaving high school before having sex.

She insisted it was possible to have sexual satisfaction without taking your clothes off, before confessing that, at 56, she was still "technically" a virgin.

It was only then that her address was interrupted and she was told the board was discussing physical education and alcohol awareness. Sex education was the previous day.

Unfortunately, after revealing her faux pas she didn't stick around long enough to elaborate on her bold statements.
