Diary - Cops caught on camera

12th February 2010 at 00:00

You would hope that the police would want to catch joyriders, not act like them. But two officers span their wheels at a school fundraiser in New Zealand.

The policemen were taking children for a ride in their patrol car, complete with sirens and flashing lights, in exchange for a donation to school funds. To make the experience more exciting, officers indulged in a little automobile acrobatics, doing doughnuts and figures of eight across the field.

Unfortunately for them, one of the parents filmed their antics on his mobile phone. Although the incident happened a year ago, at Target Road Primary in Auckland, it has only just been posted online.
