Different goals

YOUR report on "Oftot" will have added to the fears of playgroup workers and childminders about the early learning goals because it is incorrect.

These are NOT goals for three to four-year-olds, they are targets for the end of the Reception year when most children are nearly six. By all means record anieties about the new arm of the Office for Standards in Education and getting enough inspectors with experience in working with children aged three to six, but get your facts right.
