Northern Ireland's education minister is facing calls to resign for taking her 12-year-old daughter out of school to go on holiday - a breach of her own department's guidelines. Unionist politicians want Catriona Ruane, a Sinn Fein minister, to step down over the political trip to Cyprus. She claimed it was "in the best interest of my daughter".
