Aimed at children aged eight and above, the book follows the familiar Dorling Kindersley format, using more than 2,500 colour photographs, artwork, maps and charts. Its 12 thematic sections, covering 1,900 major subjects, aim to allow readers easily to make links between areas of science with common principles and show how science is part of everyday life (Pounds 29.95)
