Downhills won't take it lying down

30th March 2012 at 01:00

Reports of Downhills Primary School's demise are greatly exaggerated ("Downhills loses the fight as academies move in", 23 March). This week alone, I have joined a picket at Downhills of the imposed interim executive board, passed a motion at my local NUT association offering support (including of a possible strike there) and presented a giant card in solidarity, and I don't even work at the school. Over? The campaign has only just begun.

Dr Terence Sullivan, West Green Primary School, Haringey, London.
