Drugs awareness

An educational project to highlight drugs awareness has been devised by police officers and school pupils and launched in Aberdeen. The Buzz is a package of resources including a video, CD-Rom and activity pack which is designed to enable youngsters to discuss the thorny subject of drugs with their parents.

The vieo portrays a young addict overdosing, while the activity pack includes quotations from young drug-takers talking about their addiction.

Published by Grampian Police, a free copy has been distributed to all schools and youth projects in the Grampian region. Additional copies pound;25 each, tel 01224 386000.
