Dunblane high school in Stirling

25th June 2004 at 01:00
Congratulations to Dunblane high school in Stirling, who won the Kids' Lit Quiz in Auckland on Sunday. It is the first time a school from outside New Zealand has won the competition. Dunblane's four-strong team of 12 and 13-year-olds travelled to New Zealand as UK champions after winning the UK Kids' Lit Quiz, sponsored by The TES, last year. The 13 teams answered a wide range of questions on children's literature and, after 60 questions, Dunblane won a tense "play-off" with a school from Wellington.
