East London school pound;1m in red

A SCHOOL in east London is more than pound;1 million in the red. The deficit at Lister community school in Newham is the latest sign of the strain placed on budgets by this year's funding crisis. Newham has complained to ministers that its schools lose out because they pay inner London rates but are funded at outer London levels.
