Edexcel called in

29th August 2008 at 01:00

Edexcel, the exam board which was running national test marking until last year, has been drafted in to help out with the aftermath of this year's tests after the sacking of American firm ETS. Edexcel will provide back office support for the processing of appeals. Schools are being asked to send in their appeals against marking decisions within 10 days of the start of term at the latest. Edexcel would not say whether it plans to bid to run the marking of the tests from next year.
