Eton to help deprived

Eton College is considering sponsoring a boarding academy in a bid to help some of the country's most disadvantaged children, headmaster Tony Little has revealed. He said more state boarding schools could "open up access to an educational sector of world class to those who need most help". There are already 35 state boarding schools in England, catering for 5,000 pupils, and many are highly over-subscribed.
