"A Brush with the Bront s", an exhibition of images from the novels dating back to the first illustrated edition in 1872 is at Bront Parsonage Museum, Haworth, West Yorkshire, until March, 2007. It includes early wood engravings and photographs and contemporary contributions from Paula Rego.

The Society for Storytelling's sixth National Storytelling Week, from January 28 to February 4, will include more than 700 events and performances in theatres, libraries, museums, pubs, arts centres, schools and other venues, encompassing a range of traditions in the British Isles.
