Exam fees crackdown

Kevin Brennan, further education minister, told colleges that the Government and Ofqual would crack down on examination board fees as funding for colleges gets tighter. Colleges and schools spend more than a quarter of a billion pounds on examination board fees and a series of qualification reforms over the past decade have each added to the cost.
