While on the subject of nomenclature, we couldn't resist this email circulated across Dorset LEA by Vicky Pitfield, a council officer working with children excluded from school: "Following discussion with the management team it has been agreed that my title shall be changed from 'reintegration officer' to'exclusions officer'. It is felt tha this is less confusing and gives a much clearer indication of my role. I would be grateful if you could amend any records accordingly. Thank you."
