Award for outburst of the week goes to John Dunford, Association of School and College Leaders general secretary, who is clearly unhappy with how extended schools are being described.

"It is not a new concept and it certainly wasn't invented by Ruth Kelly last year. Whoever invented the term Kelly Hours for extended schools should be taken out and shot on sight," he exploded.
