Extraneous skivvies

10th July 1998 at 01:00
I would like to redress the balance of your article "Nursery nurses treated as 'low-paid skivvies'" (TES, June 26). My research was specifically concerned with nursery nurses and not "early-years workers".

The word "skivvies' is not to be found in my research or the report. "Skivvies" is erroneous in that it does not give sufficient weight to nursery nurses' professionalism or the wide variety of educational tasks they are now carrying out.
