Pupils at Head of Muir Primary in Denny, Falkirk, have been fine dining as part of a healthy eating campaign.
Mussels and other seafood appeared on school menus in a bid to improve children's diet.
"The response from the children was excellent," said head Daniel Barrie. "They loved the taste of the mussels and enjoyed the whole process of pulling them out from their shells."
Over four weeks, the mussels were cooked in various ways. The biggest hit with pupils was a recipe using sweet and sour sauce, Mr Barrie added. DM.
