Farriery challenge

(Photograph) - Oatridge College in West Lothian was the setting last Saturday for a competition involving up to 80 master craftsmen and their apprentices, from home and abroad. Prizes worth more than pound;4,000 were at stake for the best in class at the ancient art of shoeing horses.

Oatridge is a partner in the Scottish Racing Academy and is one of only four FE colleges in the UK, and the only one in Scotland, to provide farriery education
