Scottish Fencing is keen to send a team to the inaugural Commonwealth Junior Championships in Chennai, India, on January 24-29. The governing body is still going through its selection process but, with no major sponsor for the team as yet, it is likely to cost in excess of pound;1,000 per fencer to take part when flights, accommodation and food are taken into consideration.
