Fergie, join Gove Disunited

Readers all around the world will know about Sir Alex Ferguson, the manager of Manchester United Football Club who recently announced his retirement. But could football's loss be education's gain? With the English state system demoralised and in the process of fragmentation because of UK education secretary Michael Gove's reforms, could Sir Alex be persuaded not to retire but instead to take on Gove Disunited to prevent its relegation to a lower international education league?
