Fife go-slow on budgets;In Brief

Fife is to continue its "extremely cautious" approach to devolved management and ignore the timetable for transferring budgets to schools. The Government has insisted all secondaries and primaries should be in the scheme by April, with some exceptions for primaries with teaching heads.

The region says that secondaries welcomed devolved management but primaries need more time to examine the benefits.
