Financial - Life of money sense adds up

5th February 2010 at 00:00

The impact of financial decisions on everyday life will be explored through a free educational website.

Adding Up to a Lifetime was designed by teachers for use in the classroom or at home, and includes 25 hours of activities based around five stages of life.

The site features animated characters and video case studies that investigate issues facing young people. It looks ahead to student life, the world of work, and retirement.

Jim Lally, director of Learning and Teaching Scotland's Scottish Centre for Financial Education, said it was "highly relevant to the lives of our young people" and "very engaging".

The website was designed by the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust, with support from insurance company Prudential and LTS.
